About Charles Lucking

A Phoenix Native, I received my BA in Literature at Claremont McKenna College, and my J.D. from Arizona State University. With my education under my belt, I departed for the beautiful island of Samoa where I worked with several federal agencies on legislative development and human rights initiatives, and where I met my wife, Skye. After two years in Samoa, I left for Santiago, Chile, where I worked as a University professor for a year before returning to the States. From 2007-2009 I put my time in as a US Federal Government employee, working as a Peace Corps Recruiter in charge of the largest geographic territory in the US. Skye and I moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina in early 2010 where I built a successful internet-based indie music label representing over 100 artists, as well as a comprehensive-service SEO company. We have returned to my hometown to live, which I am delighted about! I am also a luthier, a photographer, amateur chef, triathlete, marathon runner and avid gardener.

I had the pleasure of teaching with Charlie at DuocUC in Santiago, Chile from February 2006 until December 2006. Charlie's easygoing approach to teaching transfers well into the classroom as his students feel at ease in their learning. He has the ability to make learning English fun and interactive rather than rote memorization from a textbook. Because of this, Charlie was a favorite teacher among the students and received high praise from the administration. I enjoyed my time working with Charlie and hope to have the opportunity to do so again at some point in the future.
